Before joining our colleagues at the Forest Products Latin America Conference 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil, I had the opportunity to visit our team in Mexico. It was a valuable chance to catch up with the ROXCEL Mexico team and discuss our plans, successes, and some of the challenges and focuses in the region.
The week afterwards continued with the main event. Our team, along with colleagues from Brazil and Peru (Rodrigo SOUZA, Brasilino TORTORELLI and Mirko CASTILLO) had the opportunity to attend the Forest Products Latin America Conference 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil. This event, held from August 12–14, is recognized as Brazil’s premier conference dedicated to the pulp, paper, and packaging industries across Latin America. Now in its 19th year, the conference provided a one-stop shop for industry professionals, offering invaluable insights and exclusive data to help navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of forest products.The conference gave us a valuable opportunity to better understand the industry in this region. We connected with suppliers, customers, and local experts to discuss key trends and issues. The main focus was on how producers are innovating to tackle sustainability challenges and cost pressures. Additionally, we explored the demands of key end-users and the crucial role Latin America plays in the global pulp and paper sector.
